Ford’s Latest Technology Helps Neutralize Covid-19 in Police Vehicles

Ford has designed a new heat-based technique to help reduce the footprint of the COVID-19 virus by baking a vehicle’s interior until viruses inside are inactivated. The vehicle’s own power-train and climate control systems enable vehicles to elevate passenger compartment temperatures beyond 133 degrees Fahrenheit, hotter than Death Valley on its hottest day, for 15 minutes — long enough to help disinfect vehicle’s touch-points.
